Honoring our Ancestors & Spirits.

DAYS TO CELEBRATE & REMEMBER.

#lifeatC37

C37 ® is a people driven organization, where we seek to dissolve the concept between having a Job & doing the Work of your life. Here we create a set of Rituals based on our Company Core Values to create experiences that enhance our day to day agenda and growth. As part of our Working Culture, we take some days of October & November to celebrate our personal history, share about the characters that inspire us & enjoy our company while we solve complex problems through design.

“Dia de Muertos” (Day of the Death or All Saints Day) & “Halloween” are two completely different holidays from different cultures that influence us due to our Location: Monterrey, MX. Right next to USA and part of México we can’t help but merge all these festivities that at the end of the day do one simple thing: Celebrate & Remember.

Dia de Muertos.

For “Día de Muertos” we constructed an altar where each of our teammates chose a historical figure that has moved or shaped us through their life story and now lives inside us by their teachings, as we believe we (also) are history in the making. This beautiful Mexican tradition states that one must remember & celebrate your loved ones in order to support their spiritual journey. This may sound spooky but as Mexicans it is within our culture to see death as a natural part of our life cycle and as a responsibility to remember those who aren’t here so they are not completely gone.

The holiday involves putting up portraits of the loved ones, some personal belongings (or related objects) that represent the activities the departed ones used to enjoy, in company with some Cempasúchil orange flowers that as the Aztecs stated “are plants that help the spirits to guide themselves…” in order for them to come back and celebrate with us.

Our team chose guides and mentors that have helped us build our psychological, emotional & philosophical individual characters like philosophers & writers such as Wayne Dyer and Carl Jung. Innovators and creatives as Walt Disney , Steve Jobs & Johnny Cash and bold women born out of context as Cleopatra & Marie Curie . All of them have one shared characteristic :

They challenged their context by visualizing & constructing a better one through the work of their life.

We shared Pan de Muerto and built the altar with music, videos and conferences of all of these characters, as well as personal stories and thoughts on how they lead us to make the same impact but in our time, taking the best of their story to ours.

HALLOWEEN.

These day is a day to get creative and share too : A C37 ® Friday where we presented research results, carved pumpkins, took pictures & ate candy (more than we should) to finish our day with sugar rush. As a company we create experiences for ourselves to enable our full potential and develop our best work. Our values focus on creating A- Players & experts who are not afraid to celebrate their own uniqueness.

Not all of our teammates and collaborators could make it, but the ones who could came dressed up, creating a fun and eclectic gang like Taylor Swift, a Charlie Brown Ghost, Spinelli from Recess, The Shadow from Carl Jung philosophy and mythological Dragons.

We are here to help each other find themselves.

Yes, as existential as it sounds, we want to help our teammate find the quirkiness and the meaning of their life as we are growing together because without people, we do not have products or services.

We are building a space for Innovation, where multidisciplinarity is the only way to thrive as a team and individually.

So, who are you gonna dress up or celebrate next year in order to channel their inner wisdom?
